Let Go of the Illusion, Not the Love
Do you feel responsible for the feelings and behaviors of other people?
Do you determine how you respond and feel about yourself based on fear of being hurt or rejected by others?
Do you always put other people’s needs above yours?
If you spend enormous energy trying to please others and control the relationship and environment, codependency coaching can help.
My name is Sherry Gaba. I’m a recognized expert on codependency and I want to help you undo your codependency and take back your life. Over the years, I have counseled thousands of people just like you work through heartbreak and break the pattern of codependency.
You may not know that love is addictive. When you are in love, your brain reacts with a hormone called Oxytocin. Love addiction is just as real as any other addiction. It’s easy to get addicted to the “high” that love creates and want to keep it going with codependent tendencies.
This compulsion combined with low self esteem, unrealistic beliefs about “perfect love,” and seeking to ignore your needs so you won’t feel rejected are a dangerous pattern that leads to heartache and heartbreak. You may feel isolated and alone or distracted by the choices of your loved one. You are there to pick up the pieces created by bad choices.
Are you struggling with a relationship with an addict?
Do you feel guilty for not being able to control the destructive behavior of a loved one?
Have you given up trying to express your needs?
Do you feel the need to control other people to make you feel less anxious?
Do you minimize problems of your loved one?
Are you unable to set boundaries?
